Ghanaian-Russian Fashion Designer Bee Arthur has made a name for herself internationally as well as in her native country of Ghana because of her exotic designs. Bee, as most people call her, makes one of a kind pieces using traditional African cloth mixed with modern influences such as beading, painting, buttons and dyes.
The best way to describe Bee's work to the American market will be to say that she is like the Betsy Johnson of Africa, bold, colorful, unique and flamboyant. Bee is an Artist.
As the owner and creative director of B'exotiq Designs, she has been in the fashion business for 16 years and there is no stopping her. Bee's designs have a lot of influences because of her travels and her heritage. You can see imprinted in her designs Russian dolls, African symbols and of course her signature Bees. She is also fluent in English, French, Spanish and Russian.
